Alireza joined the Azar Energy Group in
mid 2004 as a Project Economist. Parallel to this responsibility, Alireza
is also a lecturer at IIES (International Institution for Energy Studies)
where he teaches Project Economics.
Petroleum Economist (M.A)
Alireza has a B.Sc. in Commercial Economics and a Masters
in Energy Economics & Marketing both from the University of Tehran
(graduated in 1999 and 2003 respectively).
In 2001, he joined Iran Economics Magazine and worked as a Journalist
and Energy Expert. Simultaneously, Alireza worked for the R&D Center
of IDRO (Industrial Development & Renovation Organization) on a
number of comprehensive petroleum research projects. In 2003 he was
involved in a major consultancy task for “Shell Development Iran”
related to Iran’s Natural Gas industry. Later that year, he joined
NIGEC (National Iranian Gas Export Co.) an affiliated of NIOC and worked
as an Economist and Market Analyst in the LNG Division.
